Launched Today: Iconic Images new website – deeper archive search & original contact sheets

Iconic Images represents images of the most recognisable and famous people in the world such as David Bowie, Elton John, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Michael Caine, Brigitte Bardot, Faye Dunaway and the British Royal Family.

Iconic Images which represents some of the world’s most important photo collections from photographers including Terry O’Neill, Norman Parkinson, Gered Mankowitz, and Ed Caraeff are online with a new website today.

The website – www.iconiclicensing.net – now allows picture editors, licensees, and other creatives to access a deeper search through Iconic Images’ vast archive across hundreds of thousands of images from the worlds of film, fashion, music, politics and sport. For the first time, Iconic is opening the archives to view – and license – not only well-known images but also rarely seen, alternate shots and original contact sheets.

• Personal accounts are now available for lightbox creation for both images and contact sheets.

Ellie Brown, Director of Editorial Licensing at Iconic told PAN this morning: “Iconic Licensing offers a streamlined user experience from initial idea through to completion. With the newly installed lightbox facility and ever more archives being represented – many exclusively – we have taken the platform to the next level. With a strong team of industry experts and millions of images in the archives. We are confident in its ability to guarantee a bespoke service for any licensing project.”

“This is a revolutionary new way for editors to view millions of negatives, which before now, have been hidden away in archives. Our aim is to open up the archives and legacies and allow people to explore brilliant images from the last 80 years of photography” noted Robin Morgan, CEO of Iconic Images.
